people always say this, but it really is true.
it’s hard to come by someone who will always be there for you. it’s hard to come by someone who genuinely cares about you. it’s hard to come by someone who isn’t just using you for their benefit. it’s hard to come by someone who accepts you the way you are. it’s hard to come by someone who knows you really well and yet doesn’t judge you upon it. it’s hard to come by someone who will comfort you when you need it the most. it’s hard to come by someone who will help you in every way they can whenever you need it. it’s hard to come by someone who will tell you your flaws and where you went wrong even when you don’t want to hear it. it’s hard to come by someone who wants whats best for you. it’s hard to come by someone who will support you when things get hard.
it’s hard to find a true friend. it’s hard to find someone you can really rely on. it’s hard to find someone you can fully trust. it’s hard to find someone who won’t judge you. it’s hard to find someone who will be brutally honest with you. it’s hard to find someone you can talk to when you need someone by your side the most. it’s hard to find someone who will keep you strong and give you support when you’re about to fall to pieces. it’s hard to find someone who will pick up all the pieces when you are broken.
but when you do find people like this, don’t let them go. whatever you do, don’t push them away. they’re people you’ll need for the rest of your life. they’re people you can really trust. they’re people you’ll share the best and worst of moments with. they’re people who will help you get through this crazy world.
i know i wouldn’t be where i am right now if i didn’t have people like this in my life. i have my family and friends to thank. isabella, i’ve known you since freshman year in high school, and you’ve become one of the people i know i cannot live without. thank you for listening to me rant practically 24/7. thank you for always being there for me. thank you for all of your help with everything. thank you for being such a wonderful friend. kelsey, even though i met you at the beginning of freshman year at state, i feel like i’ve known you for so much longer. we’ve become so close so fast. thank you for being there for me when i needed someone to talk to. thank you for listening to my continuous rants. thank you for helping me work out problems i would’ve stressed over for forever. thank you for being one of the first people to make me feel like i had a home at state. thank you so much for being such an amazing friend. i love you both!
